Group Description

This is a professional group basically meant for those having recognised medical, paramedical or legal qualifications but others may join if they are interested.
The purpose of the group is to encourage legal thinking, awareness, study, planning and problem solving among health professionals.
This is a discussion group. The preferred mode of discussion is suggested as posing specific questions / queries and / or responding to them. The queries may be on medical or non-medical issues. It is expected that the majority of queries will concern medical issues. However, legal queries on issues that are not strictly medical are not barred.

It is basically an unmoderated group but the following need to be observed:
a—Language should be clean and, as far as possible, correct.
b--Loose talk and slang and emoticons / smileys and unnecessary abbreviations (such as LOL etc.) should be avoided.
c—Personal targeting is a strict no-no. What should be discussed are issues and principles and facts and laws. The personality or background or private life of members should NOT be discussed or even hinted or referred unless germane to the context.
d—The focus should be on objectivity. Subjective statements should be minimised.
e—Nothing should be written that may appear defamatory or insulting. Acrimony should be totally avoided. Acrimony is the greatest enemy of lists.

The group has been started by me, Dr. M C Gupta.
